15th Annual Empty Bowls Project at The John Cooper School

By  |

On Saturday, February 22, 2020, the 15th Annual Empty Bowls Project lunch was held at The John Cooper School Student Center.

The John Cooper School chapter of the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) and Cooper Art Society (CAS) have taken the lead to help fight hunger in our community through its annual Empty Bowls event and has raised over $100,000 for local hunger relief over the past 14 years.

The community was invited to attend and enjoy a bowl of soup, bid in a silent auction, view student art and take home a handmade bowl as a reminder that there are empty bowls in our community and they just helped fill one more. All proceeds benefited the Interfaith of The Woodlands Food Pantry.

Student Coordinators of the event were Nicholas Harris and Noelle Harris and Faculty Sponsors were Deborah Arnold and Jamila Musa.
