December 2 – Holly Jolly Jingle – Kick off the holiday season at The Pavilion! It’s the most wonderful time of the year as The Pavilion Main Stage features performances of familiar holiday medleys by the student musicians of The Woodlands High School, The Woodlands College Park High School, Oak Ridge High School and Grand Oaks High School. Sing along to classic seasonal tunes with a certain jolly elf rumored to make an early appearance at his favorite holiday celebration. Concertgoers will be walking in a winter wonderland of activities when the gates open at 6 p.m. with holiday arts and crafts, photos with Santa Claus, The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who plus pre-concert performances by local schools in the plazas. All are invited to climb aboard the Candy Cane Express train in the Gold Lot starting at 5:30 p.m. Learn more

December 3 – Signatures Author Series – Join us at the Signatures Author Series on Friday, December, 2021 featuring instant New York Times bestselling author Taylor Jenkins Reid of Malibu RisingDaisy Jones and the SixThe Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and more. The John Cooper School Signatures Author Series luncheon is a highly anticipated annual event held each year. The popular event is sponsored by the Fine Arts Council and has featured keynote speakers such as best-selling authors Barbara Bush, Dave Berry, Mitch Albom, Anthony Bourdain, John Grogan, Nicholas Sparks, Candace Bushnell, Kathryn Stockett with Tate Taylor, Jodi Picoult, Tyler Florence, Gillian Flynn, Cheryl Strayed, Paula Hawkins, Kevin Kwan, Maria Semple, and Jesmyn Ward. December 2021 – Classes and Programs at Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center – Canopy is open for classes and programs! Canopy is a cancer survivorship on the campus of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Canopy is open to men and women, no matter where you were treated, and for any kind of cancer. If your life has been impacted, whether you were the patient or the caregiver, you have a safe haven at Canopy. Learn More

THINGS TO DO

Today – January 17, 2022 – The Woodlands Ice Rink presented by Woodforest National Bank is Open – Glide into the magic of the holiday season at The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center, presented by Woodforest National Bank. Enjoy indoor ice skating at the 21,000 square-foot facility, located at the intersection of Six Pines and Lake Robbins, next to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The season began Friday, November 19, 2021 until January 17, 2022. Learn more

November 27 – December 21 – Festival of Lights – Experience the joy of the season with your family at The Festival of Lights at Woodlands Church! This free outdoor holiday experience includes a walkthrough light display show, music, and a family-friendly live performance for all ages. Enjoy warm cocoa and cider as you make lasting family memories with us at The Festival of Lights this holiday season at Woodlands Church. Free to the Public. December 4, 11 & 18 – Breakfast with Santa at Margaritaville – Santa and Elsa of Disney’s “Frozen,” are traveling from the North Pole to Lake Conroe for 3 Saturdays in December (Dec. 4, 11, and 18) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to have breakfast Margaritaville-style. Enjoy a magical and enchanting morning as you create lasting fun family memories. Bring an unwrapped gift to Breakfast with Santa and receive a commemorative Margaritaville Holiday ornament. Your gift will be donated to Yes To Youth, a Montgomery County-based youth service. Learn more

December 4 – Hope for the Holidays – Tis the season for HOPE, Peace, Joy and live entertainment! The Hope for the Holidays variety Christmas Production will return to The Woodlands College Park High School stage to benefit the Cassidy Joined For Hope Foundation. You will be entertained by many of Montgomery County’s finest, talented singers, actors and dancers as they perform favorite Christmas carols along with a few fabulous surprises!Learn more

December 4 – The Woodlands Show Chorus Holiday Magic Show – Wine, Wassail, and Snacks! The Woodlands Show Chorus and quartets will entertain you with the show, silent auction, and bake sale at St. Simon & Jude Catholic Church. You’ll have a magical time! The doors open at 4:00 p.m. The show is from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Learn more

CANCELLED – December 4 – Christmas in the Woods – Grab your friends and launch your Christmas season in style at Inspiration Ranch. With a cigar and bourbon bar, Santa, live entertainment, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a chance to give back, it is sure to be an event to remember. Join Inspiration Ranch in celebrating what God has done through its programs this year.Learn more

December 4 –Creative Christmas: Searching for Christmas Around the Globe – Join us on Saturday, December 4 at 7 p.m. in the Loft Worship Center at The Woodlands Methodist Church for Creative Christmas: Searching for Christmas Around the Globe. We’ll have an evening of interactive fun with special food, music and art from other countries. Bring your kids and invite your friends to join us for this special evening. Learn more

December 5, 12 & 19 – Christmas Market at Glade – Don’t miss the Christmas Market at Glade this holiday Season! Enjoy traditional holiday treats, shop local artisans, and listen to Christmas carols. Open on November 27 & 28 and December 5, 12 & 19 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Learn more

December 5 – Winter Festival – Enjoy family-friendly fun including music, shopping, food, free pictures with Santa, and a kids’ corner at The Woodlands College Park High School from noon to 4:00 p.m. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to kick-off your holiday festivities while supporting a great cause – The Woodlands College Park High School band.Learn more

December 5 – Grand Chanukah at Market Street – Market Street will host Chabad of The Woodlands for a Grand Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Back again this year by popular demand is special guest Rogers Park, the country’s only Hasidic folk-rock band. Learn more

December 5 – Grand Illumination Tree Lighting Event – The holidays officially kick off at The Woodlands Resort with the annual Grand Illumination lighting event from 4 until 7 pm. Complimentary for resort guests and free entrance, the family friendly celebration will include live music, holiday movies, gingerbread house decorating, arts & crafts, letters to the North Pole, a visit from Santa and lots of free hot cocoa. The tree lighting will take place at 6 pm. The resort will be gathering non-perishable food donations for the Montgomery County Food Bank, and guests who attend the Grand Illumination and then visit onsite Back Table Kitchen & Bar for dinner will receive 15% off their bill. December 11 – Santa Dash – The 14th Annual Fun Run benefiting nonprofit B.I.G. Love Cancer Care will be at Town Green Park with a virtual option as well. Have fun while you run and dress in festive holiday attire: Santa hats, elf hats, reindeer ears, or ugly sweaters. Not a runner? Come enjoy shopping at our silent auction, a Christmas choir, breakfast and cookies, pictures with Santa, REAL SNOW and fun Christmas carnival games!Learn more

December 11 – Montgomery County Mistletoe Market – Get a jump start on all your Holiday shopping all while supporting local small business owners. There will be over 200 vendors offering everything from women’s and children’s clothing, home, holiday and garden decor, gourmet food items, hand made and fashion jewelry, fashion trucks and so much more at the Lone Star Convention Center.Learn more

December 11 – Christmas in Historic Montgomery – Montgomery’s holiday activities are the highlight of the year and it all kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with the parade, which winds through Historic Downtown Montgomery and showcases its astounding array of civic groups, school spirit, and other groups that love to participate every year.Learn more

December 11 – The Toby Powell Conroe Christmas Celebration – The Toby Powell Conroe Christmas Celebration is a free event for all ages to enjoy! The festivities will be held at Heritage Place from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Learn more

December 11 – Winter Wonderland in Creekside – The free, family-friendly Winter Wonderland celebration, held at Creekside Park Village Green from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., will feature holiday DJ music, photo ops with Santa Claus, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon artists, fun inflatables and activities.Learn more

December 11 – Flurry of Fun Christmas Event – Snow — lots of snow — is forecast for the Flurry of Fun, slated for 2-5 p.m. at The Church at Woodforest. Eventgoers can play in mountains of snow and visit Santa’s workshop to pick up a holiday craft. A giant photo op snowglobe will be available, and visitors will be given holiday items as keepsakes. The Flurry of Fun in Woodforest is free and open to the public.Learn more

December 11 – Lake Conroe Christmas Boat Parade – Enjoy a magical night of decorated boats, lights, music, fireworks, families and businesses coming together to brighten up the sky and our hearts! A night to remind everyone that life is made up of little magical moments like this one! This year, proceeds of sponsors will go to Children’s Safe Harbor Organization and proceeds from the sales of the event’s LED T-shirts will be donated 100% to the Montgomery County Precinct 1 – Marine Division, who take care of Lake Conroe public safety and Security all year round. Learn more

December 11 – The Woodlands Chorale’s “O Glorious Night!” – Join the Chorale in an evening of glorious and uplifting holiday music at The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church. From Christmas music by the Carpenters to a selection of Handel’s Messiah, the event will feature the Treble Varsity Choir from Hambrick Middle School and the Chamber Women from Oak Hills Junior High. Learn more

December 11 – Montgomery County Choral Society Messiah Sing Along – Join the Montgomery County Choral Society for an interactive evening of Handel’s Messiah – where you can sing along – at 7 p.m. at First Methodist Conroe Church. Learn more

December 12 – Bristol House Christmas – Bristol House Christmas is a night filled with worship, Christmas music, and family! On Sunday, December 12, Bristol House will start at 6 p.m. in The Harvest Worship space at The Woodlands Methodist Church and enjoy desserts and drinks in the Fireside Cafe from 7 – 8 p.m. This will be a family event centered around the true meaning of Christmas. December 15 & 18 – Mrs. Claus Gingerbread House Workshops – Enjoy special holiday family time making memories and decorating individual gingerbread houses, while visiting with Mrs. Claus, delighting in Christmas storytime and creating lacing gingerbread men at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. December 16 – The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon – The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize member anniversaries, Board Members, Team Leaders, Diplomat of the Year, Community Citizen of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, Top Influencer Under 40, Chairman’s Award and a special Legacy Award Recipient at the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Shenandoah.Learn more

December 18 – Conroe Symphony Orchestra’s “Twas The Concert Before Christmas” – The Conroe Symphony Orchestra presents ‘Twas the Concert before Christmas featuring Christmas classics at 2 p.m. at the Willis ISD Performing Arts Center. This matinee performance will also provide a family activity before the concert where children can craft their own Christmas ornament for the tree at home.Learn more

December 21 – Christmas Story Living Museum – The Woodlands Methodist Church’s Children’s Ministry is putting on a live, and fun interactive experience of the events of Jesus’ birth when you walk through the Christmas Story Living Museum. Join us on Tuesday, December 21 at 6 p.m. at the Recreation Center Gym. The whole family is invited to come and enjoy this fun interactive event! Learn more

December 31 – Ring in 2022 at Margaritaville Lake Resort – Lake Conroe – Enjoy a fun and festive New Year’s Eve at Margaritaville Lake Resort. Toast to the New Year with live entertainment, pre fixe menus, champagne, and more. Spend the night in one of the all-suite accommodations and then feast on brunch at License to Chill and hang out in Boathouse, the resort’s newest venue, to catch for your favorite bowl game.Learn more

December 31 – New Year’s Eve at The Woodlands Resort – The Woodlands Resort’s ‘Bring on 2022 New Year’s Eve party package’ will be limited to just 150 attendees and include luxurious overnight accommodations for two adults plus an evening full of festivities. Recently debuted Back Table Kitchen & Bar on the resort grounds and overlooking the waterfront 18th green of the Panther Trail Course will serve as the hole-in-one location for the night, featuring a three-course dinner, dancing with live music from a five-piece band (9 p.m. until 1:30 a.m.), champagne toast at midnight and party favors.
