September 8 & 9 – 16th Annual House Beautiful Show – Transform your home into a dream home or create the custom home of your dreams with the latest innovative products and fresh new trends at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. September 8 – 2nd Annual Texas Taco Tequila & Margarita Festival – Come to Conroe to experience the best in tacos, tequilas, and margaritas! There will be 30+ taco vendors, live music including Pinata Protest, Los Skarnales, Gio Chamba and Selena Tribute. There will be frozen, rocks, hand crafted, & pineapple margaritas, in addition to top shelf tequilas.  The kids will have fun too at the free kid’s zone! Purchase tickets

September 15 – Grand Central Park Fit & Fun Fair – Grab the family, join the fun and feel great doing it September 15 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. There will be free fitness classes, including goat yoga, Bootcamp and Zumba.There will also be kids activities, games, guest speakers, a DJ, food trucks and vendor booths. September 15 – Woodlands Oktoberfest – The First Ever Woodlands Oktoberfest! Enjoy everything you love about Oktoberfest right here in The Woodlands! German Beer, Bratwurst, German Pretzels, Strudel, Sauerkraut, Live Music, Kids Zone and more! Purchase Tickets

September 22 – Woodforest Craft Fest – Beer, beer and more beer will be on tap at the annual Woodforest Craft Fest, 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22nd at the Christine Allen Nature Park. More than 20 breweries will roll out their kegs, proffering samples to adults 21+. Full glasses of beer and margaritas from Southern Rum Runners will be available for purchase. Guests also will enjoy live music by Louis Adams Band, Travis Lance and Sick Duck, food trucks, a rockwall, pony rides, face painting, corn maze, game truck, vendor village and more! September 22 – YES to YOUTH Gala – An Evening of Dreams – Join Chairs Laura Everson and Katrina Savage for the 2018 YES to YOUTH Gala – An Evening of Dreams on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The event will honor Dr. Lloyd & Jacque Everson and benefit YES to YOUTH – Montgomery County Youth Services. Learn more

September 25 – Incorporation Planning Study Public Forum – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors invites all interested residents to an Incorporation Planning Study Public Forum on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The Woodlands Township Incorporation Study consultants will provide a recap of studies to date such as the best practices analysis, law enforcement analysis, street condition analysis, a review of municipal utility district (MUD) operations and public feedback received to date. September 2 – Labor Day Celebration in The Woodlands – Enjoy free Labor Day family fun at Waterway Square on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with live music, free children’s activities and crafts, strolling entertainers and fireworks. September 4 – Houston Symphony: Rebels, Raiders, & Superman: A Tribute to John Williams – The legendary music of John Williams will be performed live by the Houston Symphony at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion starting at 8:00 p.m. John Williams has scored classics such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Indiana Jones. September 6 – Wine, Women & Shoes – The name says it all! Come enjoy the 5th annual Wine Women & Shoes benefitting iGoPink and The Breast Cancer Charities of America September 6 from 5:30 – 4:00 p.m. Bring your best girlfriends and husbands are welcome too! There will be wine tasting, shoe & accessory shopping galore, a dazzling fashion show, exciting silent & live auction, a dream closet raffle, charming shoe guys and more! Purchase Tickets

September 6 – Cards & Cocktails – The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce’s Cards & Cocktails casino-themed event offers guests an opportunity to participate in a Texas Hold’em tournament advancing down to the final table for the grand prize. For those new to poker, the pros will share a Poker 101 lesson during cocktail hour. Or try your hand at blackjack, craps or Rock n’ Roll Bingo where instead of numbers, you play with classic tunes. September 8 & 15 – All-State Master Classes with The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra – High school band and orchestra members are invited to join in on an insightful and rewarding workshop with members of The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra! Get an edge on the competition with “how to practice” sessions and mock auditions for the Region and All-State tryouts. The workshop meets from at Glade Gallery from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., or 1:00 – 4:30 p.m., depending on instrument, and costs $50. September 11 – Patriot Day of Remembrance – Please join The Woodlands Township at the Central Fire Station from 7:30 – 8:00 a.m. for a ceremony to honor the brave men and women who tragically lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Learn More

September 11 – First Responders Day – The Woodlands Township will host a community gathering featuring a presentation of colors, Honor Guard, speakers, and more to remember and thank first responders. The event will be held at Town Green Park from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Learn More

September 12 – “Ask the Doctor” at Canopy – In honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, Dr. Christine Lee will be speaking and answering your questions about cancer starting at noon at the Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center. Dr. Lee is a renowned OB/GYN oncologist and surgeon with Texas Oncology. Come prepared with lots of questions! Register Here

September 12 – Meal Prepping: Back to School Basics at BioPlenish – This hands-on meal prep class shares techniques for step-by-step preparation of simple and delicious meals with Health and Wellness Coach Dara Parker, and special guest Nicole Graham. The class starts at 5:30 p.m and will be held at BioPlenish. Admission is $10 per person. Register Here

September 13 – Walk in the Woods Nature Lecture Series – Explore nature at your backdoor! Speakers reveal our rich eco-system with a close-up view of extraordinary wildlife and plants once a month from September to November. Each program features a keynote speaker and a walk through nature. This month’s topic is Birds of Prey. September 15 – Free Family Movie Night – Join Grace Manor on September 15, 2018 at 5:30pm at Church Project North located at 1111 League Line Road #102, Conroe, TX 77303. Bring your family and enjoy a free movie night! Grace Manor will provide parents with a few talking points at the end of the Paddington movie. These will give you tips on making connections to the Paddington movie and what foster care/adoption would look like in your own home. There will be popcorn, snacks, and prizes! Learn More

September 20 – Chamber Concert Series – The first in a four-part concert series, held on the third Thursday of each month, this concert will pair fine art with classical music by combining the passion of The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra with world renowned Texas Artist Legend David Adickes. The Glade Arts Foundation will display nearly thirty paintings from David’s prominent composer series, accompanied by composer-specific musical selections chosen and performed by the Symphony. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. sharp. September 21 – Children’s Safe Harbor 20th Anniversary Luncheon – Children’s Safe Harbor is proud to announce its 20th Anniversary of serving traumatized and abused children and families in the community and the kickoff of its campaign. September 21 – 40th Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon – The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce will provide a professional way to network and allow members the opportunity to interact with Chamber Leadership at this luncheon. Member longevity, Board Members, Team Leaders, Community Citizen & Volunteer of the Year, Diplomat of the Year, and Chairman’s Award will be recognized. The presentation of the awards will follow the Chamber’s annual report while guests enjoy a seated lunch at the Holiday Inn & Suites at Shenandoah from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Learn More

September 22 – Arts in the Park Featuring Shakespeare in the Park – Enjoy an afternoon with family and friends at Rob Fleming Park from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, grab a bite to eat at the food trucks and enjoy live stage performances. This free event features local vendors selling original artwork, children’s activities, and a live Shakespeare theatre performance of “Much Ado About Nothing” by UpStage Theatre beginning at dusk. Learn More

September 24 – The 2nd Annual Texas Marine Medal of Honor Memorial Golf Tournament – The tournament will be held at the The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course. The shotgun start begins at 8:30 a.m. utilizing the 4-Person Shamble format.Lunch is provided and there will be contests and prizes awarded. Scheduled to appear is 5-time World Long Drive Finalist Glenn Wilson, Jr. Proceeds will benefit the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. Learn More

September 27-30 – 20th Annual YMCA Dragon Boat Team Challenge – Stop by Northshore Park from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and witness the exciting sport of Dragon Boat Racing to cheer on your favorite team as they row for a cause. September 28 – Kid’s Night Out – Leave the kids to play tons of games, arts & crafts, and extra special activities in this monthly activity at Rob Fleming Recreation Center from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Children should wear comfy clothes so they can play and get wild! September 29 – The Pink 5K – Come join the fun at The Pink 5K while supporting The Breast Cancer Charities of America at Rob Fleming Park starting at 8:30 a.m. The Pink 5K is open to all families, friends, children, strollers and even dogs! Vendors, entertainment and more will take place before and after the race. Proceeds from The Pink 5k will go to help The Breast Cancer Charities of America’s mission to eliminate breast cancer, while empowering + educating women to prevent and survive the disease. September 29 – Woodlands Landscaping Solutions – Meet the experts and learn proven ways to enhance your lawn, garden and landscape at Rob Fleming Recreation Center from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Booths and demonstrations will offer plant propagation techniques, home composting, drip irrigation, lawn care, gardening and more. September 29 & 30 – Opening Weekend at The Texas Renaissance Festival – The Texas Renaissance Festival, the nation’s largest, most acclaimed renaissance theme park.
