July 4th Event Schedule

7:30 a.m. – Roads close for 4th of July Parade

9 to 11 a.m. – South County 4th of July Parade  4thofjuly.org

  • Market Street Stage (Above North Commons on the balcony)
    • 8:00 a.m. – Woodlands Concert band starts
    • 8:00 a.m. – Pre-parade entertainment begins with strolling performers
    • 8:30 a.m. – Judges begin to arrive
    • 8:45 a.m. – Nick Wolda, CVB President, and Ramon Torres, local entertainer, begin announcing
    • 9:15 a.m. – National Anthem by Kelley Peters
  • Town Green Park Stage
    • 8:00 a.m. – Pre-parade entertainment begins with strolling performers
    • 8:15 a.m. – Music begins
    • 8:40 a.m. – Declaration of Independence read by Ryan Elkins
    • 8:55 a.m. – National Anthem by Lauren Moore
    • 9-10:30 a.m. – Announcer Miguel Lopez, Executive Director of SBDC, Lonestar College, announces the dignitaries and entries.

12 to 4 p.m. – Splash Day at ALL Community Pools

3 to 4 p.m. – Crisis Assistance Center Duck Derby at Rob Fleming Aquatic Center

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. – “Things That Go” Bike Parade at Northshore Park

6 to 10 p.m. – Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza

  • Town Green Park   Festival activities include strolling entertainers, face painters, balloon artists, inflatables, entertainment on two stages including Mars Hill Band and Klockwork Band, a variety of food vendors, and a Kids’ Zone featuring crafts and other family-fun games. Participants must have a wristband to enter the inflatable activities at this location. Wristbands are $10 each and good for unlimited access of the inflatables for the duration of the event. Excludes mechanical bull.
  • Waterway Square Park   Activities include face painting, balloon artist, concessions and live music from Level One Band. Fourth of July Parade Awards at 7 p.m.
  • Northshore Park   Activities include face painting, concessions and live music. NOTE: Northshore Park will be closed to vehicular traffic at 11:30 p.m. on July 3, 2017, and reopen at 5:30 a.m. on July 5, 2017. If attendees are going to attend the event at Northshore Park, they are encouraged to park on the AON Hewitt Campus.
  • Rob Fleming Park   Activities include face painting, concessions and live music.
  • Hughes Landing    Live Music: Johnny and the Spinsations (50’s-80’s Variety)

9:30 p.m. 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza over The Woodlands

  • Fireworks Launch Locations:
    • Lake Woodlands *Primary Display (by Northshore Park)
    • Town Green Park *Secondary Close-Proximity Display
    • Waterway Square *Secondary Close-Proximity Display
    • Village of Creekside Park, near Rob Fleming Park
