50th Annual South County Fourth of July Parade to celebrate America250
The South County Fourth of July Committee is proud to announce the 50th Annual South County Fourth of July Parade, presented by Waste Connections, celebrating America250 – the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
This milestone event marks both a historic national celebration and a longstanding community tradition in The Woodlands, bringing together residents and visitors for one of the region’s most anticipated Independence Day events.
This year’s theme, “America250,” will come to life through patriotic floats, marching bands, military units, community groups, and first responders. Featured highlights include a Rolling Thunder cannon salute, a Color Guard presentation by the Sons of the American Revolution (Freedom Chapter), a live bald eagle appearance, and a performance by Lord Sterling’s Fifes and Drums.
The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with pre-parade entertainment starting at 8:00 a.m. The event will span a 1.4-mile route through Market Street and The Woodlands Town Center, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere for attendees of all ages.
As one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in the region, the parade is expected to draw thousands of spectators and participants from across Montgomery County and beyond, featuring approximately 150 parade entries.
“Reaching our 50th year while celebrating America’s 250th anniversary makes this parade especially meaningful for our community,” said John Powers, President of the South County Fourth of July Committee. “We’re proud to continue this tradition and bring together families, neighbors, and visitors for a memorable and patriotic celebration.”
