The Woodlands honors 25th Anniversary of September 11 with Patriot Day of Remembrance Ceremony
This morning, the Patriot Day of Remembrance ceremony held at The Woodlands Central Fire Station honored those whose lives lost and were forever changed on September 11, 2001.
Held outside the Central Fire Station, the ceremony honored the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11 and paid tribute to the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, military members and other first responders who demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness in the face of unimaginable danger.
The program featured a Presentation of Colors by The Woodlands Fire Department Honor Guard, a reading of The Fireman’s Prayer, and The Ringing of the Bell in remembrance of fallen firefighters.
The Patriot Day of Remembrance serves as a lasting tribute to the lives forever changed on September 11 and a reminder of the courage, compassion and service that brought communities together in its aftermath.
