The Woodlands Township’s Ready Woodlands Emergency Preparedness Event on April 12
The Woodlands Township invites residents and businesses to the annual Ready Woodlands Emergency Preparedness Event on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.
This free emergency preparedness event offers valuable insights and resources to help the community prepare for hurricanes and other emergencies. This is an opportunity to visit with local organizations and agencies to help develop a personal preparedness plan for you and your family. The event is coordinated by The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services, who will be offering a mini lantern as a giveaway to each family while supplies last.

With safety and well-being as top priorities, this event features workshops, presentations, and hands-on activities designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools they need for effective emergency preparedness. Experts from CenterPoint Energy, the National Weather Service, insurance professionals, and legal advisors will provide valuable information on topics such as storm preparedness, insurance policies, and essential legal documents. Hurricane Beryl’s impact on The Woodlands last summer was a stark reminder of the importance of early preparation, ensuring residents have a plan, supplies and reliable information before a storm strikes.
Presentation Schedule:
- CenterPoint Energy – Insights on emergency preparedness and power restoration procedures
- National Weather Service Meteorologist – 2025 weather predictions, weather-related hazards, and preparation tips
- Property Adjuster – Understanding deductibles, flood insurance coverage, and policy details
- Lone Star Legal Aid – Guidance on essential legal documents, including medical directives
