Memorial Hermann’s In the Pink of Health invests $550,000 to advance mission, announces 25th Anniversary Luncheon
Over the last 24 years, Memorial Hermann’s In the Pink of Health has invested over $9.1 million in the community to advance its mission. Most recently, Allocations Committee members agreed to support local partners with $550,000 in funding for critical programs and services.
In the Pink of Health raises funds throughout the year, culminating with its annual luncheon. These funds are essential to support the In the Pink of Health mission to change lives by reducing the incidence of breast and ovarian cancer and assist cancer survivors on their journey.

The Allocations Committee is comprised of In the Pink volunteer leadership and key leadership from Memorial Hermann The Woodlands who meet to consider proposals from community partners who carry out the mission of In the Pink of Health. This year’s contributions to the community include:
- Supporting Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center’s free of charge programs for cancer patients and their families.
- Funding the purchase of wigs, wig care kits, breast prostheses and other items for cancer patients.
- Interfaith Community Clinic support to help with outreach to uninsured and underinsured patients to gain access to free mammograms through In the Pink of Health.
- Funding for free mammograms in partnership with the Interfaith Community Clinic at the Breast Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center.
- Supporting state-of-the-art technology for the Breast Care Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands.
- Breast screenings, diagnostics and cancer treatments for underserved women in Montgomery County through The Rose.
- Funding for Ovarcome to further its mission to increase ovarian cancer awareness and to provide financial support for ovarian cancer patients in Montgomery County.
“One of the things that sets us apart from other organizations is that 100% of donor dollars supports the mission of In the Pink of Health – we don’t take out administrative costs from the funds we raise. They are underwritten by the hospital. We are proud to share that with this year’s allocations, we have invested over $9.1 million in programs and services that help people fighting cancer right here in Montgomery County,” remarked Linda Nelson, Director of Business Development and Marketing, Canopy and Volunteers for Memorial Hermann The Woodlands.
Planning for the October 24th event is already underway under the leadership of Jamie Bolt and Nicole Preston, 2025 In the Pink of Health committee co-chairs.

“As we look toward the coming year, I hope to see increased awareness for Canopy and support for breast and ovarian cancer. Dedicating my time to this committee means standing in solidarity with those affected by cancer, advocating for advancements in treatment, and fostering a community where every patient has the support needed for optimal care. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against this disease,” shared Jamie Bolt.
“I’m thrilled and honored to co-chair ‘In the Pink of Health’ for our 25th anniversary because we’re addressing a critical need: the rising diagnoses of breast and ovarian cancer, especially in younger women. Early detection is lifesaving, and I’m passionate about ensuring that affordability and accessibility are not barriers to that crucial step for anyone in our community,” said Nicole Preston.
