American Heart Association ’s 2025 Montgomery and North Harris County Go Red for Women Luncheon and Survivor Fashion Show

On Thursday, May 15, the American Heart Association ’s 2025 Montgomery and North Harris County Go Red for Women Luncheon and Survivor Fashion Show, chaired by Mari Harvey, was held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.

Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s signature initiative to raise awareness that heart disease is women’s greatest health threat and to empower them to take action to lower their risk. Since 2004, Go Red for Women has had a profound impact on women’s health and continues to be a champion for women.

Prior to the luncheon, the event featured a Go Red For Women Expo with healthcare partner booths, jewelry raffle sponsored by Diamonds Direct, Mosaics of Mercy station, and Fireman Photo opportunity.

The event honored and recognized Montgomery County Woman of Impact Rikki Speck for her contributions in being the fundraising winner of the 2025 National Wear Red Day campaign and attendees heard about an inspiring recovery story from stroke survivor Megan and her health partners at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospitals.

Models and survivors walked the runway in the fashion show, produced by Lenny Mateuszewski and Tamara Klosz Bona, in the latest and best spring styles by Dillard’s. Themes of Americana, Sunny Delights, White Now, Island Brights, Shades of Pale, and In Bloom dressed the models and survivors alike. Survivor Models were Cary Attar, Jill Barber, Christine Domangue, Nicole Tetreault, Tayler Parmigiano, Tim Joniec, Miguel Lopez, and Maria Sanchez.

Guests opened their hearts and made donations and a lasting impact on the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association. The Live Auction also helped fund groundbreaking research and vital educational programs with a Firehouse Dining Experience for 10, generously donated by The Woodlands Fire Department.

Following the event, attendees had the opportunity to Go Red in Style and be shuttled in Fertitta Automotive Golf Carts to a VIP experience at Post Oak Motor Cars in The Woodlands.
