This year, residents may choose from 12 varieties of native tree seedlings, including both canopy and understory trees. All selected species support native pollinators and local wildlife, contributing to a balanced and thriving ecosystem. These native varieties provide essential benefits to wildlife. Flowering trees and shrubs supply nectar for bees, butterflies and other pollinators, while berry-producing species offer food sources for birds and small mammals. All serve as critical hosts for beneficial insects.

Experts were also available on site to answer questions and offer guidance on tree selection and planting to help residents choose the best option for their yards.
