The Woodlands Township COVID-19 Update – February 2
The Woodlands Township shared the following COVID-19 Update on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
Montgomery County Update
Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, would like to remind you that a county-wide waiting list for the COVID-19 vaccine is available.
People eligible for the vaccine, in Phase 1A or 1B, can sign up here: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/2826db87c9124a0fa5f89ce121d7503c?portalUrl=https://MOCO.maps.arcgis.com. If you are 65 years of age or older and / or do not have internet access, you can join the vaccine wait list by calling 936-523-3918. Eligible people on the wait list will be contacted to schedule an appointment when vaccines are available through participating providers.
Individual hospitals, physicians’ offices and pharmacies may also have vaccines available to eligible populations. Please check their websites for additional information. You can find a list of providers and additional information on the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) website here: https://www.dshs.state.tx.us/coronavirus/immunize/vaccine-hubs.aspx.
Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital Designated as COVID-19 Vaccine Hub
The State of Texas has designated Houston Methodist as a COVID-19 Vaccine Hub. The goal is to vaccinate as many people as possible, only limited by supply of vaccine. Montgomery County residents who are 65 and older may schedule an appointment or join the waitlist to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by visiting this link: https://www.houstonmethodist.org/texas-vaccine-hub/
St. Luke’s Health—The Woodlands Hospital Designated as COVID-19 Vaccine Hub
St. Luke’s Health—The Woodlands Hospital is coordinating closely with Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management as a COVID-19 Vaccine Hub. Those interested in receiving the vaccine are asked to complete an interest form online to be placed on their waiting list for future vaccine allocations. Vaccine supply remains limited. St. Luke’s will continue to expand their vaccination capacity as more vaccine supply is available.

COVID-19 Texas Vaccination Data Dashboard

CDC’s home for COVID-19 data, the COVID Data Tracker, has a new homepage with updated tools and features. These improvements make it easier to find needed data to help protect yourself, your family and your community. Data sets are updated daily, and new features are added every week.

COVID-19 TESTING
Curative Testing at the Township
Testing takes place seven days a week at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands, TX 77381, and Sterling Ridge Park and Ride, 8001 McBeth Way, The Woodlands, TX 77382, with daily hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Customers are asked to submit their insurance information. Testing is offered at no cost to the customer. Customers without insurance will still be tested at no personal cost using coverage from the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act. Walk-ups are welcome.
NEW! Curative’s testing sites at Town Hall and Sterling Ridge Park and Ride have been extended through March 31, 2021. An additional testing location at Rob Fleming Aquatic Center (parking lot) will be opening as a walk-up/mobile testing site beginning February 24 through March 24, 2021.

Please note, the FDA recently issued a warning regarding false test results from Curative.
New COVID-19 Testing Requirements for Air Passengers Arriving in the U.S.
If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get tested no more than 3 days before you travel by air into the United States. You will need to show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight, or be prepared to show documentation of recovery. Read the article from the CDC.
COUNTY NEWS
Montgomery County COVID-19 Case Count February 2, 2021
Today, Montgomery County can confirm an additional death related to COVID-19.
- A man in his 70s, from Porter, died at home. The medical examiner’s report did not provide information on potential co-morbidities.
Montgomery County also confirms:
- TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 318 to 40,360 since yesterday’s (2/1) report. Of the 318 new cases, 285 were tested since 1/21/2021.
- ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 decreased by 399 to 6,022 since yesterday’s (2/1) report.
- 67 county residents are known, as a result of contact investigations, to be in the hospital. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
- 18,854 people have clinically recovered.

The Testing Positivity Rate for Montgomery County is 17%, down from 21%. This number is updated weekly on Wednesdays. Source: UT Health, School of Public Health

Harris County COVID-19 Case Count
Harris County Public Health (HCPH) publishes their daily case count, combined with the City of Houston’s daily case count, here. Cases by zip code in Harris County can be found by clicking on areas of the map.
The Village of Creekside Park is located in two zip codes: 77375 and 77389, and these also include Magnolia, Augusta Pines/Auburn Lakes/West Rayford Road in northwest Harris County. Today, Harris County is reporting zip code 77375 has 3,423 confirmed positive cases with 526 active cases, and 77389 has 1,903 confirmed positive cases with 273 active cases.

United Way of Greater Houston Montgomery County Center will limit hours of operation to Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to provide resources to the community. Tele-assistance services are available by calling 281-292-4155.
