Cooper Publications, Social Media Awarded for Excellence

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The John Cooper School Communications Office and Alumni Office were recognized for their work in the 2021 Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Accolades District IV Awards by winning a Gold Award and three Silver Awards.

The Summer 2020 issue of C2W was awarded a Gold Medal in the “Magazines” category and the Winter 2021 issue was awarded a Silver Medal in the new “Pivot” category for how it transitioned from previous formats to cover the end of the 2019-20 school year.

CASE is a professional organization for those who work in the Advancement areas of Communications, Alumni, Special Events, Development and Annual Giving. District IV is made up of major colleges, universities and independent schools in a five-state region of the Southwest.

“It’s always nice to be acknowledged for your work, which as always involves a team effort to be successful,” said Deb Spiess, Cooper’s Director of Marketing and the editor of C2W.

Alumni Coordinator Kalli Lovejoy was awarded a Silver Medal in the “Publications on a Shoestring” category for the alumni magazine, Transitions. She was also recognized with a Silver Medal in the “Alumni Relations Pivot” category for a social media series featuring alumni serving their community’s immediate needs.

Founded in 1988, the number of Cooper alumni now totals 2,000. “Cooper alumni are always doing amazing things, providing many opportunities to highlight their accomplishments,” Lovejoy said. “We were proud to showcase the alumni supporting the many needs of the current pandemic.”
