The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership Announces its 2023-2024 Officers & Board of Directors

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) held its Annual Meeting and Partner Celebration on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at The Woodlands Resort.

At the Annual Meeting, Holly Gruy, Chief Operating Officer, announced the newly appointed officers and board members for the 2023-2024 term. The outgoing 2022-2023 board members were recognized for their contributions, Bart Griffith, First Financial Bank; Jerrod McQuain, JLL; Angela Strong, A Strong CPA; Greg Usher, Cypressbrook Company; Bryan Valencia, Calvetti Ferguson; and Stephen Wright, Wright Business Technologies.

Gil Staley, Chief Executive Officer, provided an organizational overview of accomplishments for the past fiscal year. The meeting concluded with an awards presentation for the 2022-2023 officers. The EDP has been the industry leader in promoting economic development for The Woodlands Area through the support of existing businesses and the recruitment of new businesses for over 25 years.

“We are proud to celebrate another year of economic vitality and community growth at our Annual Meeting and Partner Celebration. Bringing our members together at the close of our fiscal year to highlight achievements and promote networking and collaboration is consistently inspiring,” said Gil Staley, Chief Executive Officer of the EDP.

Immediately following the meeting, partners and guests attended a reception to celebrate the success of the organization this past year led by Chairman of the Board, Christin Allphin of Woodforest National Bank.

Effective September 1, 2023, the newly appointed 2023-2024 officers include Chairman, Jim Parisi with St. Luke’s Health The Woodlands Hospital; Vice Chairman, Whitney Wall with Wells Fargo; Secretary, Dan Michalk with Waterway Wealth Management; Treasurer, Bret Strong with The Strong Firm P.C.; and Immediate Past Chairman, Christin Allphin with Woodforest National Bank.

The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) is a 503(c)(6) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the economic development of The Woodlands Area through the support of existing businesses and the recruitment of new businesses that can bring job opportunities and capital investment to the area.
