Due to forecasted inclement weather and potential for unfavorable park conditions, the event was relocated from its originally planned location, Northshore Park, to the Central Fire Station located at 9951 Grogan’s Mill Road.

The event began at 3 p.m. and included a Presentation of Colors by The Woodlands Fire Department Color Guard, National Anthem by Liv Garcia, Keynote Speaker Lieutenant Colonel Raissa Sanchez (U.S. Army), remarks and reading of proclamation by the Dr. Ann Snyder, Chairman of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors, and Richard Franks, Treasurer of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors.

A Care Package Drop-Off Booth was onsite at the event to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops.
