Angel Reach Celebrates Opening of Angel Reach Village

By  |

On Saturday, March 2, Angel Reach officially threw open the doors on phase one of their planned community of homes, inviting the community to a celebration and tour. The 16 fully furnished, two-bedroom duplexes will provide 32 homes for youth who have aged out of the foster care system as well as those who are at risk of homelessness between the ages of 18 and 24.

“Safe shelter is a foundational need for everyone, but one that fortunately can be taken for granted by most residence of Montgomery County. It’s not taken for granted, however, by most of the young people coming out of our foster care system. The Angel Reach Village will provide that secure housing for our clients to continue building a better, stronger, more productive future,” said Daniel Alexander, Angel Reach Executive Director.

Lead by the Signorelli Company, the Angel Reach Village was completed through the collective support and efforts of community partners HomeAid Houston, The Greater Houston Builders Association, Starter Homes of Texas, Gracepoint Homes, LJA Engineering and the City of Conroe as well as private donations.

The well-attended Village Opening Celebration offered tours of the new homes and community spaces along with food trucks, games, family activities and a scavenger hunt sponsored by the Robuck and Seldenrust Families.

Information for ways to donate to Angel Reach Village or to support the youth at Angel Reach is available online at  www.AngelReach.org.
