Arrest of Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy

By  |

In January 2025, the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office was alerted by a concerned parent about their 17-year-old son being sexually abused and exploited by several adult males he had met through social media platforms. The alleged abuse and exploitation reportedly began when the victim was around 14 or 15 years old. A detective from the Pct. 3 Human Trafficking Unit launched an investigation, uncovering evidence that Landon Slatter had communicated with the victim while he was still under 17 and had solicited a sexual encounter. It was also discovered that Slatter was employed as a Deputy Sheriff with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Once learning of Slatter’s employment, we alerted the Sheriff’s Office and they immediately began assisting us with our investigation. On March 4, 2025, detectives from Pct. 3 apprehended Slatter in Conroe, Texas. A search warrant was executed at his residence as part of the ongoing investigation. Slatter is charged with one count of Online Solicitation of a Minor, a third-degree felony, and one count of Sexual Assault of a Child, a second-degree felony, with additional charges anticipated. He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail, where his bond is set at $100,000. The investigation remains active as Pct. 3 detectives continue to seek out other adult suspects involved in the case.

Constable Ryan Gable expressed appreciation to Sheriff Wesley Doolittle and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance and collaboration during this investigation. Constable Gable’s team is dedicated to identifying and apprehending those who exploit and harm children.
