TWAC Canned Art Installation at The Woodlands Mall until February 6

On Saturday, January 29, The Woodlands Arts Council (TWAC), producers of Fidelity Investments The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, worked in conjunction with the National Charity League – The Magnolias Chapter to assemble a Canned Art Installation inside of The Woodlands Mall in front of Nordstrom.

The group assembled a 3-D replica of the featured art for the 2022 Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, entitled “Celebrating Abundance”, an oil on metal by featured artist Guilloume. The replica was made out of 3,333 food cans occupying 24’ tall by 24’ wide of space.

The display will remain for view at The Woodlands Mall until Saturday, February 6 and then the canned food will be donated to Interfaith of The Woodlands’ food pantry. Viewers will have access to a 25% off discount code for tickets to the festival.

TWAC’s Student Art Scholarships competition will also be on display and winners will be chosen on Saturday, February 29.

Set for the weekend of April 9 and 10, 2022, Fidelity Investments The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival will welcome nearly 200 artists and also offer plenty of food, fun, entertainment, and live music for the entire family to enjoy. In its 17^th year, the festival has proudly been voted as the winner of “Best Event In The Woodlands” for ten consecutive years. Showcasing original works of fine art in a variety of mediums created by jury-selected local, national, and international artists, this vibrant outdoor art gallery is exhibited along the scenic banks of The Woodlands Waterway and at Town Green Park.
