Chairman’s Ball honors Linda Head and brings together Local Businesses

On Saturday, August 12, 2017 The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their 39th Annual Chairman’s Ball at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The event themed “Celebrating the Heart of our Community” honored the Chamber’s 2016 to 2017 Chairman Linda Head, currently the associate vice chancellor of Workforce Education and Corporate Partnerships at the Lone Star College System.

The evening began with a Chairman’s reception where guests had the opportunity to pose for photos, order a cocktail, and vote on their favorite table, decorated by local businesses, nonprofit organizations and chamber members. Watch as Hello Woodlands took Facebook fans behind-the-scenes before the event on a tour of the Chairman’s ball.

Event leaders Dawn Candy of I Promote You and James Ketchum of Leger Ketchum & Cohoon, PLLC. welcomed guests before enjoying a delicious dinner of roasted tenderloin, bacon wrapped shrimp, field green salad, yeast rolls, and dessert.

The program included recognition of public officials, words from Congressman Kevin Brady, a flag presentation to Linda Head by Christie Siedhoff on behalf of Senator Brandon Creighton, a speech by Linda Head, an introduction to incoming Chairman Frank Holmes, and a toast by United Airlines. Incoming Chairman Frank Holmes is currently the Vice President for University Advancement Sam Houston State University.

The table top decorators were recognized and the winners announced, including Camp Bow Wow, Sam Houston State University and Interfaith of The Woodlands.

The event concluded with dancing and entertainment provided by Privileged Productions.
