‘Closer Than You Think’ Exhibit highlights the Beauty of Northwest Houston at Ardest Gallery

On Saturday, March 9, Ardest Gallery held the opening reception for the “Closer Than You Think” Exhibition featuring works by artist Allison Fox that highlight the beauty and landscapes of northwest Greater Houston.

“The hustle and bustle of modern life often dominates our attention, bouncing us between competing priorities and distractions. At these times, it is necessary to slow down and notice the beauty around us. These paintings are a celebration of the natural beauty in the northwest Houston area, and are based on scenes in Cypress, The Woodlands, Tomball and surrounding locations. I hope they help the viewer to stop, breathe, and experience the wonders of nature around them,” shared Allison Fox in her artist statement.

Ardest Gallery, a local fine arts gallery curated by Gallery Director Julie Verville, represents nearly 40, top Texas 2D and 3D visual artists. In addition to its core artists, the gallery hosts ongoing events such as monthly group art shows, art events with local restaurants, poetry readings, musical performances, and art classes/workshops for all ages and skill levels.
