Community Christian Legal Aid (CCLA) is honored to announce a $300,000 commitment over the next three years from an anonymous donor to support civil legal services for underserved individuals in the greater Houston region.

The donor made this commitment after recognizing the growing need for private philanthropy to step forward in support of civil legal services, as demand for legal representation continues to rise while traditional funding sources decrease. This generous multi-year gift will strengthen access to justice for neighbors who would otherwise be unable to afford legal representation and who face barriers to navigating the civil legal system.

The gift builds upon the strong foundation already established at CCLA including United Way of Greater Houston’s early and catalytic support which helped expand access to civil legal services in Montgomery County which was very important to the donor.

CCLA Executive Director Deborah Hubbs commented, “This gift represents extraordinary generosity and a shared commitment to ensuring our neighbors are not left to navigate the legal system alone. This investment will allow us to respond to growing needs and extend access to justice for more families in our community.”

The $300,000 commitment will enable CCLA to expand capacity to respond to increasing demand and ensure more neighbors receive timely high quality civil legal services.
