Conroe Police shares statement on Car Show this Weekend in Conroe

The Conroe Police Department shared the following press release and statement February 20, 2025 on the Lone Star Throwdown.

The Conroe Police Department is working with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and 22 other local agencies to combat illegal behavior and public safety threats committed by some participants and spectators from the Lone Star Throwdown event. The Conroe Police Department is expecting thousands of people to attend the event this weekend.

The Conroe Police Department, along with other local law enforcement agencies, will have extra patrol officers on the streets addressing traffic, public safety threats, reckless driving, parking lot and street takeovers along with DWI enforcement. The Conroe Police Department is committed to keeping the citizens of Conroe safe and protecting private property.

If you plan on attending the Lone Star Throwdown this weekend, the Conroe Police Department will not tolerate reckless driving or any illegal behavior that could endanger the lives of citizens. Violations of the law could result in traffic citations being issued, being arrested and possibly having your vehicle towed. The top priority of the Conroe Police Department is the safety of its citizens and the public.
