THE WOODLANDS, TX – Seniors from The John Cooper School celebrated the ending of their studies with College Decision Day, donning clothing from their next alma mater.

The Class of 2023 filled the campus quad, with shirts, sweatshirts and even pajama bottoms from schools like Harvard, Yale, Baylor and Texas A&M.

“This senior class is one for the record books. At 126 students, they’re our largest class ever, and they applied to over 220 different colleges–the most of any Cooper class,” says Laura Schroeder, Director of College Counseling.

Upper School students will wrap up their classes on Friday, and seniors will commence on May 26.

Schroeder has been with Cooper’s graduating class on their journey to find the right path after graduation, and sees the list of their college decisions as “a collection of students, of their stories, their dreams, their priorities, and their journeys.”

“They’ll head on to these places, and at these schools, they’ll undoubtedly keep setting records. Yet we’ll remember them, not for where they go, but for who they are and what they do,” says Schroeder.

“Thank you for the honor of being a part of your story, of your journey. We can’t wait to see what you do next.”
