Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply looking for a fun family activity, Let Freedom Chalk offers a creative way to celebrate Independence Day while showcasing community spirit. Participants are encouraged to create patriotic-themed artwork featuring stars, stripes, fireworks, American landmarks, military tributes or other designs that capture the spirit of freedom and unity.

Free chalk packs containing 10 pieces of chalk will be available for pickup at The Woodlands Township Town Hall front desk beginning Monday, June 22, through Thursday, July 2, 2026, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., while supplies last.

Once artwork is complete, participants can submit photos of their creations for a chance to win! Entries will be accepted from Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, 2026. A winner from each village in The Woodlands will be selected and recognized with a trophy and prize. Winners will be announced on Monday, July 6, 2026.
