Diabetes-Friendly Cooking in honor of World Diabetes Day at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital
As the holiday season approaches, we are often surrounded with indulgent meals. Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital helped patients and families impacted by diabetes prepare for healthier celebrations with an educational cooking demonstration in honor of World Diabetes Day on November 14.
In the hospital’s Health Education and Learning (HEAL) teaching kitchen, guests learned how to make a healthy shrimp stir-fry, while gaining practical tips on diabetes-friendly nutrition, balanced eating and why carbs matter for brain health.

HEAL focuses on physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families at no cost – visit Houston Methodist’s website to learn more!
