Don’t Drink and Drive. Uber Code for Safe Rides

By  |

The holiday season is filled with friends, family, and celebrating. Unfortunately, many times during this season we also see an increase in impaired driving. This year, to help encourage keeping the holidays safe, we are sharing this Uber code for a $20 credit while supplies last. You can scan the QR code or enter the promo code “TXDOT20” to use this offer. This code is good anywhere in the Houston District (Harris County, Montgomery County, Galveston County, Fort Bend County, Brazoria County, and Waller County). The credit is valid now through January 14, 2022 between the hours 5 p.m. and 5 a.m.

For those who still choose to drink and drive, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is increasing our No Refusal Operations to ensure that scientific evidence is obtained in all DWI cases and provides the prosecution with strong evidence of guilt or innocence.

Brittany Hansford, Vehicular Crimes Chief shared, “With so many options available, there is no excuse for driving while intoxicated. The most tragic thing that can happen is for someone to lose their life during the holiday season because of an avoidable poor decision made by a person drinking and driving.”

District Attorney Brett Ligon said, “Take one of the many options available to you. If you fail to plan ahead, law enforcement will be out there to get you off the road in handcuffs hopefully before you have had a chance to hurt yourself or somebody else.”
