Education for Tomorrow Alliance’s SCI://TECH engages the business community with local private and public schools, offering 13 science, technology, engineering, and math competitions and events. Run as a partnership of EfTA volunteers and local educators, the SCI://TECH Exposition includes one of the largest regional science fairs in the nation reaching thousands of students each year and qualifying students to compete in the Science & Engineering Fair of Houston, as well as state and international competitions. This year SCI://TECH hosted events starting on January 21 through March 5, 2022.
The Huntsman Elementary Science Festival is a highlight of SCI://TECH where students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade teach others through hands-on science experiments. Thousands of visitors attend each year to explore the scientific world at the family-friendly events that are free and open to the public. This year the Huntsman Elementary Science Festival was held at Lone Star College – Montgomery, located at 3200 College Park Drive, and events took place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m in the conference center and Building B.

Education for Tomorrow Alliance was created in 1989 as a project of the The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce and local science and technology professionals who wanted to encourage the next generation of workers, especially in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Education for Tomorrow Alliance eventually became a separate 501(c)(3) with the focus of connecting business and community volunteers to empower tomorrow’s adults.
The mission of Education for Tomorrow Alliance is to cultivate education and community partnerships that advance student success. EfTA fulfills this mission through Career Connections, Future Focus, Next Generation Leadership, the SCI://TECH Exposition, and the Student Internship Program all designed to give local students hands on learning opportunities in the STEM fields and beyond.
