Egg-Themed Holiday Events in April

Spring is here and The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a variety of celebrations to enjoy. Celebrate by having a family meal with the Bunny, making a holiday craft, and enjoying games, or amp up your egg hunt by hunting in the dark.

Events kick off Friday, April 7, 2017, 7:45 p.m., with the Flashlight Egg Hunt at Terramont Park, 8500 Terramont Drive. Families are invited to have a great time with snacks, activities, music and a flashlight egg hunt. This event is for all ages, with those 5 years and younger hunting eggs first, followed by ages 6 and up. The event fee is $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents per participant, and $5 each additional sibling.

Sunday, April 9, 2017, 11 a.m., Brunch with the Bunny at The Lodge at Rob Fleming Park, 6055 Creekside Forest Drive is offered. Families will enjoy brunch, crafts and egg hunt with the Bunny! This event is for all ages. The event fee is $40 per resident family of four, $45 per non-resident family of four, and $8 per additional family member.

Sunday, April 9, 2017, 3 p.m., To Dye For – Egg Decorating with a Twist at The Lodge at Rob Fleming Park, offers children the chance to decorate eggs with special colors, glitter and more! The event includes games, an egg hunt and, of course, a visit from the Bunny. Egg decorating is for ages 4 and up. The event fee is $20 per resident child and $25 per non-resident child with a $5 sibling discount available.

This event is for all ages. The event fee is $40 per resident family of four, $45 per non-resident family of four and $8 per additional family member.

Friday, April 14, 2017, noon, Lunch with the Bunny at The Lodge at Rob Fleming, offers participants lunch, crafts, an egg hunt and a visit from the Bunny as well! This event is for all ages. The event fee is $40 per resident family of four, $45 per non-resident family of four and $8 per additional family member.

Also during the Easter holiday weekend, Riva Row Boat House, 2101 Riva Row, and Lakes Edge Boat House, 1970 Hughes Landing Blvd., will be open for enjoyment. Normal hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with delayed opening at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 16, 2017. The last rental out is 6:30 p.m. No reservations are accepted on holidays, as rentals are available on a walk-up basis. During the first hour at both boathouses, single kayaks rent for $15 and tandem kayaks for $20. Each additional hour is $5. Stand-up paddle boards are available to rent for $20 the first hour and $5 each additional hour. Lifejackets and paddles are included with each rental.
