September 21, 2024 – Woodforest National Bank® will host the 14^th Annual Woodforest Bank Charity Run on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Heritage Park in downtown Conroe. This year’s race will include a 10K run/walk sponsored by Insperity Invitational and a 5K run/walk sponsored by Convergint.

Plus, there will be the popular “Barkley Shoe Dash” for kids ages 5-7 and 8-12. Participants start the race with one shoe, dash 50 yards to retrieve and put on their shoe from a pile of competing runners’ shoes, then dash back 50 yards to the finish line.

After the races, the participants, spectators, and volunteers will enjoy a family-friendly Post Race Party with music, food and beverages, vendor tables, fun jumps, snow cones, and an awards ceremony.

Net proceeds benefit Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

This family event will feature lots of fun, breakfast, and beautiful scenery while running to raise funds to transform the lives of kids and teens in foster care.
1 Mile Fun Run, 1 Mile Fun Run (13 up—$35), Timed 5K & 10K
Medals will be presented to the overall winners of the 5K and 10K races for the age group
winners, both male and female. The 1 mile Fun Run is a run or walk event.

Love Fosters Hope is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that brings hope and healing to children and teens in foster care who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected. Our goal at Love Fosters Hope is for every child to grasp that they are significant, valued, worthy, and loved.

October 5, 2024 – The Woodlands Walk to Defeat ALS event is a critical part of the ALS Association’s mission to raise awareness for those battling ALS. The Walk to Defeat ALS is more than a fundraiser—it’s a chance for the community to come together, honor those we’ve lost, and bring hope for a future without ALS. October 12 & 13, 2024 – The Woodlands Township will host The Founders Cup, a doubles tennis tournament celebrating our community’s rich heritage and passion for tennis. The inaugural event will take place on Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, 2024, at various Township tennis courts.

The Founders Cup invites participants aged 18 and older to form teams of six players, consisting of three doubles pairings, to compete in a series of round-robin matches. Matches will be held across 70+ courts throughout The Woodlands, concluding in the semi-finals and finals at the Bear Branch Park Tennis Complex, 5200 Research Forest Drive, 77381. 

November 2, 2024 – Join us on Saturday, November 2 for the Montgomery County Heart Walk starting at 8 a.m. at Northshore Park in The Woodlands!
