First Responders Salute Healthcare Professionals in Parade and Prayer Ceremony

On Thursday, April 23, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Montgomery County Law Enforcement, Fire Service, and EMS personnel came together to honor healthcare professionals for their tireless and professional service to our community.

A Red and Blue Parade of emergency vehicles weaved around local hospitals as a salute to healthcare workers who have sacrificed their time, proven their skills, and stepped into harm’s way to protect our community.

The Coronavirus pandemic has challenged us with boundaries we’ve never faced before. Our typical interactions a few months ago have been replaced with physical boundaries that have tested us, but not defeated us. The Red and Blue Parade was a way for First Responders outside hospital walls to say to First Responders inside hospital walls “We salute you…we pray for you….and we are in this together.”
