Habitat for Humanity Celebrates LGI Homes with Philanthropic Award

CONROE, TX – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Texas is proud to announce that LGI Homes has been named the winner of the prestigious Corporate Philanthropy Award in the Mid-Sized Corporation category, presented by the Greater Houston Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. This well-deserved recognition highlights LGI Homes’ outstanding commitment to philanthropy and their invaluable partnership with Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County.

Habitat Montgomery County nominated LGI Homes for this award due to their longstanding commitment to nonprofits across Montgomery County and everywhere they build homes around the nation. Since 2015, LGI Homes has been an instrumental partner with Habitat Montgomery County, providing extensive volunteer services and gracious donations to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building safe, decent, and affordable homes for families in Montgomery County.

LGI Homes’ partnership with Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County has not only provided affordable housing and repairs for families in need but also created a ripple effect, fostering community development and well-being. The impact of their partnership is visible, as families have been given a chance to break the cycle of poverty and build a better future.




One of LGI Homes’ flagship service events is the Annual Service Impact Day, when all offices are closed, and every employee donates their time to volunteer organizations in their respective communities. This remarkable initiative showcases LGI Homes’ commitment to fostering a culture of giving back and emphasizes the importance of community involvement. Through their Annual Service Impact Day, LGI Homes empowers their employees to make a tangible difference in the lives of others, amplifying the spirit of philanthropy within the organization.

In addition to the Annual Service Impact Day, LGI Homes played an instrumental role in the successful execution of Habitat Montgomery County’s 2023 Blitz Build event. LGI Homes led this extraordinary collaborative effort, bringing together 37 of their long-standing trade partners to build four houses, from concrete slab to fully permitted, in one week. The Blitz Build event has been vital in transforming the lives of deserving families and showcases the immense impact that can be achieved through collective action.
