Habitat MCTX and LMC dedicate Jim Schulze Family Park to Cedar Park Community
On Saturday, April 12, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TX (Habitat MCTX) and Leadership Montgomery County (LMC) Class of 2025 held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Jim Schulze Family Park, a new community space dedicated to the families of Cedar Creek, an all-Habitat neighborhood located in Conroe.
The park was a service project led by LMC’s Class of 2025, in partnership with Habitat MCTX, that creates a space where families can gather, play, and build community. Jim Schulze Family Park is named in honor of Dr. Jim Schulze, the founder of Habitat MCTX, whose vision and leadership have made affordable homeownership possible for many in Montgomery County.
Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County leadership and staff, Leadership Montgomery County Class of 2025 members, and Cedar Creek homeowners and families participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony and celebrated the power of partnership and community service in transforming neighborhoods. Thanks to the dedication of the LMC Class of 2025, Jim Schulze Family Park will serve as a lasting symbol of collaboration and a meaningful space for Cedar Creek families.
