Houston Methodist The Woodlands NICU surprised with Santa Visit

By  |

The holidays are wonderful for celebrating and sharing time with loved ones while participating in annual traditions. Thanks to a surprise visit from a visitor from the North Pole, patients in the NICU at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital were given a chance to celebrate the holidays during their stay.

In order to provide an unparalleled patient experience, Houston Methodist The Woodlands invited Santa Claus himself to meet with patients and parents and take pictures to help create a special first memory of the holiday together.

Ryan and Jessica Schuler, who welcomed their baby girl to the world recently, were both overjoyed that Houston Methodist helped them to experience a holiday tradition of their first Christmas as a family during their stay in the NICU.

“Christmas is a big deal for our family. We even brought a Christmas tree into the hospital with us for the room,” Ryan said. “We were worried about not being able to do anything with our baby girl for Christmas, so getting to visit with and take pictures with Santa was wonderful. The staff has been great, and we could not have asked for anything better.”
