Houston Restaurant Weeks Underway with Local Participating Restaurants
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Several Montgomery County area restaurants are participating in the annual Houston Restaurant Weeks fundraiser, with a varied selection of cuisines and many new local eateries added to the list from last year. The month-long event runs from from August 1 through September 7, 2020.
Houston Restaurant Weeks provides diners an opportunity to give back while dining out. Each participating restaurant donates a portion of sales to the Houston Food Bank. Funds raised from Montgomery County restaurants will be earmarked for donation to the Montgomery County Food Bank, giving local food pantries proceeds from each participating restaurant’s brunches, lunches, and dinners. Diners are not solicited for donations.
Brunch and lunch are $20 per person, and dinners are either $35 or $45, depending on the restaurant. Each meal, including brunch and lunch, consists of multiple courses.
Some changes have been implemented due to COVID-19. Restaurants are only required to donate $1 per meal, which in turn provides 3 meals to the food bank. Also new this year, many more restaurants are including to-go and delivery options.
