Interfaith of The Woodlands welcomes New Board Chair and Members to Board of Directors

Interfaith of The Woodlands welcomed a new Board Chair, Julie Mayrant, and two new Board of Directors at its recent annual Board Retreat hosted at Woodforest National Bank, bringing together the organization’s esteemed Board of Directors and Advisor Leadership team.

Interfaith of The Woodlands is lead by a 26-member Board and 12 Advisors comprised from Spiritual, Corporate and Civic leaders in our community.

Julie Mayrant, 2025 Board Chair, brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion of service to the organization. Julie is the President and Chief Retail Officer at Woodforest National Bank. The newly appointed Board members include two esteemed clergy leaders, Rev. Heather Sims of Christ Church Methodist and Pastor Steve Bradley of Stonebridge Church, who bring a wealth of spiritual insight and leadership experience to the organization.

In addition, Interfaith recognized outgoing Board Chair, Mary Anne Whitney, celebrating her eight years of service, including two as Chair, emphasizing her lasting impact and tireless efforts supporting neighbors in need. Mary Anne and husband, Mark, will be celebrated at the Celebration of Excellence Gala on February 28, Honorary Chairs.

“We are grateful for the incredible commitment Mary Anne Whitney has shared with our community thorough her service at Interfaith. She is a true servant leader and we are excited to continue working in partnership with her through her ex-officio role in 2025,” said Missy Herndon. “As we embark on a new year of service and opportunities, we are excited to serve alongside Julie and welcome Rev. Heather Sims and Pastor Steve Bradley to the Board. They join an incredible group of thoughtful leaders dedicated to connecting the faith-based, corporate and civic communities in the name of service.”

Interfaith of The Woodlands is a nonprofit social service agency providing programs and services to meet the needs of The Woodlands and surrounding area. Interfaith provides basic needs assistance and special programs to families experiencing financial crisis, and supportive service through care and wellness programs to senior adults, in addition to many community programs dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families in need.
