DIG Pink Week at John Cooper School

By  |

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the John Cooper School‘s volleyball teams are sponsoring the school’s sixth annual “Pink Week” from October 17 to 21.

The Dragon volleyball teams are once again partnering with the Side-Out Foundation/Dig Pink® to raise money for research for Stage 4 (metastatic) breast cancer, as well as for The Rose, a Houston organization that provides screening, diagnostics and treatment services, regardless of ability to pay. Since its inception, Cooper’s DIG PINK events have raised over $78,000 toward this important effort.

Events are planned on campus all week including the JV and Varsity volleyball games on October 20th in the Dunlap Gymnasium: JV at 4:30pm and Varsity at 6pm.  The DIG PINK football game will be held on Friday, October 21 on Pugh Field at 7pm. The Dragon Booster Club will be sponsoring fun pre-game activities that promise to put everyone “in the pink!”

Help support this year’s efforts by making an online donation or ordering a 2016 Dig Pink t-shirt at https://giving.side-out.org/campaigns/11640.
