Houston Restaurant Weeks™ 2026 is a 38-day dining event benefiting the Houston Food Bank. From August 1 through September 7, participating restaurants across Greater Houston will offer specially priced prix fixe brunch, lunch, and dinner menus, with proceeds helping provide meals for those in need. The Riva Row Boat House is centrally located within walking distance from Town Green Park, Market Street, and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. This boat house sits on the lower waterway, and is fully accessible to Lake Woodlands by watercraft. Family-friendly rental options include Kayaks, Stand-Up Paddleboards, and Swan Pedal Boats. Friday, September 4 – Monday, September 7 – Aerial Adventure Course at Tree Adventures
Texas TreeVentures is an exhilarating aerial adventure course situated in The Woodlands, Texas, within the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park. Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe is joining with Margaritaville resorts around the world to celebrate Jimmy Buffett Day on Friday, September 4, 2026. They will have a poolside DJ starting at 3 p.m., a Jimmy Buffett welcome party at 5 p.m., and the Garly Kyle Band from 7-10 p.m. on the License to Chill deck! Saturday, September 5 – 35th Annual Kids Fishing Tournament & Festival
The Woodlands Kiwanis Club will host their Annual Kids Fishing Tournament on Saturday, September 5 from 7:30am – Noon at Creekwood Park, at 3883 S. Panther Creek Dr in The Woodlands. For Ages 2–16. Check in begins at 7:30am. Fishing will begin at 8:00am. Free bait will be available, but participants need to bring their own rods, reels and tackle. Volunteers, including local Key Club Members, will be on-site to lend a hand. Activities include music, free refreshments, chips & hot dogs concluding with an awards ceremony. Saturday, September 5 – Monday, September 7 – Township Pools Open on Labor Day Weekend
Summer fun isn’t over just yet! Residents can make the most of the Labor Day weekend with one final chance to swim, splash and soak up the fun at nine Township pools. All nine post-season pools will be open Saturday, September 5, from noon to 6 p.m., Sunday, September 6, from 1 to 6 p.m., and Labor Day, Monday, September 7, from noon to 6 p.m. Labor Day will mark the final day of the 2026 pool season. With a season pass, residents can enjoy access to all nine post-season pools, making it easy to find a favorite spot to cool off and enjoy one last summer swim. The nine post-season pools are: Cranebrook Pool, Creekwood Pool, Falconwing Pool, Harper’s Landing Pool, Sawmill Pool, Shadowbend Pool, Rob Fleming Aquatic Center, Windvale Pool, and Wendtwoods Pool. Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music, family fun and fireworks! Join The Woodlands Township for a festive celebration of Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Waterway Square. This free community event will feature live music by Shake Down Band HTX, engaging children’s activities, strolling entertainers and a spectacular fireworks display to close out the evening (weather permitting).
