Encanto with Live Ballet Folklórico brings a celebration of culture and colorful performance to The Pavilion stage
The Movie & Dance: Encanto with Live Ballet Folklórico took place at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Friday, July 10 as part of their free 2026 performing arts season.
As guests walked through the gates and into the plazas all ages could participate in pre-show activities, including games, crafts and family-friendly fun. The night began with a colorful performance by local Ballet Folklórico group Mixteco Ballet Folkorico, bringing the traditions, rhythms, and storytelling of Mexican dance to life on the Main Stage. Then, the audience enjoyed a screening of Disney’s Encanto on the big screens – a story full of heart, family, and unforgettable songs. The evening was a celebration of culture, music, and the magic of family.
