Live Music is Back at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion will light up once again with a return to live music later this summer after COVID-19 temporarily shuttered the venue in March 2020.
“It’s been a long time coming so we are thrilled to get back to doing what we love – live music,” says Jerry MacDonald, President and CEO of The Pavilion. “We have a full line-up of events from all genres – there is truly something for everyone to enjoy this year at The Pavilion.”
The concert season will kick-off on June 27, 2021 with Chicago. Other future events include: An Independence Eve free concert: Stars at Night with The Woodlands Symphony, Clay Walker, Banda MS, Kings of Leon, Brooks and Dunn, The Doobie Brothers, Lindsey Stirling, Kem with Babyface, Buzzfest, Jason Aldean, Korn, Maroon 5, Parker McCollum, Dead and Company, Jonas Brothers and Chris Stapleton – to name a few.
Pollstar Magazine also recently announced that The Pavilion was nominated as “Amphitheatre of the Decade.” This award celebrates the amphitheatre that showcased superior talent booking, effective promotion, quality production values and staff, an exemplary experience for fans and artists, and consistent box office success over the last 10 years. The winner will be announced at the 32nd Annual Pollstar Awards on June 16 in Los Angeles as part of the 2021 Pollstar Live! Conference.
The Pavilion Box Office will also reopen for onsite ticket purchases beginning Monday, June 21, 2021. Box Office hours will be Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. On event days, the Box Office will be open 10 a.m. through intermission Monday – Saturday. For Sunday events, the Box Office will open noon through intermission. Please note, the Box Office may be closed on holidays and during non-ticketed events.
In line with concert venues across the country, The Pavilion has also updated the bag and purse policy for the venue. Clear bags sized 12” x 12” or smaller are permitted as well as non-clear handheld clutches sized 4.5” x 6.5” or smaller. Diaper bags accompanied by an infant/toddler and medically necessary bags (sized appropriately to the need) are permitted, but subject to a search.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, guests and staff who have been fully vaccinated will no longer be required to wear masks while on property – unvaccinated guests will continue to be encouraged to do so.
Generally, proof of vaccination status is not required to attend a concert, but some artists may have different stipulations. Any differences to the standard policy would be communicated during the ticket purchase process on Ticketmaster/Live Nation, The Pavilion’s only authorized ticket vendor.
The Pavilion will regularly evaluate these practices and update the website with any changes.
