Leadership Montgomery County announces Speaker Lineup for 4th Annual Montgomery County Leadership Summit

Leadership Montgomery County (LMC) invites business and community leaders to the 4th Annual Montgomery County Leadership Summit on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Kevin Brady Community Center in The Woodlands. The summit will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., offering a dynamic half-day of leadership development centered on LMC’s core value of Lifetime Learning – There’s Always Room for Leaders to Grow.

This year’s summit features an exceptional lineup of speakers who will share insights on leadership, growth, and service:

  • Dr. De’ Reese Reid-Hart, President of Lone Star College – Montgomery
  • Dr. Bernard (Bernie) Banks, Director of the Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University
  • Dr. Sandy Frieden, retired Adjunct Assistant Professor from the University of Houston
  • Dr. Cassandra LeClair, Clinical Associate Professor for Professional and Executive MBA Programs at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School
  • Dr. Matt Fuller, Professor of Educational Leadership and Director of the Center for Assessment, Research, and Educational Safety, Sam Houston State University Attendees will gain fresh perspectives and actionable strategies to enhance their leadership journey, whether they are seasoned professionals or emerging leaders. The summit will conclude with a special awards luncheon, where Texas State Senator Brandon Creighton will be honored as Leadership Montgomery County’s Honorary Alumnus. This prestigious recognition has only been awarded six times in LMC’s 38-year history, celebrating individuals whose legacies have profoundly shaped Montgomery County. Past recipients include Steve Sanders, Dr. Don Stockton, Congressman Kevin Brady, Dr. Ann Snyder, Dr. Wally Wilkerson, and Frankie Alexander.

Senator Creighton was recently named the sole finalist for Chancellor of the Texas Tech University System, a role that reflects his deep commitment to higher education and visionary leadership across Texas. His consistent engagement with LMC’s Government Session and support for developing future leaders exemplify the values of vision, service, and community investment that this award represents.

“Honoring Senator Creighton at this year’s summit is especially meaningful,” said Angela Storseth-Cooper, LMC Chairman of the Board. “His leadership has shaped Montgomery County in countless ways, and his selection as the sole finalist for Chancellor of the Texas Tech University System is a testament to the impact he continues to make across our state. We are proud to recognize his legacy and connection to LMC.”

LMC will also honor two outstanding community leaders with Distinguished Alumnus and Servant Leader awards at the event.
