LOCAL Public Eatery to open at Market Street in The Woodlands this August
LOCAL Public Eatery, the popular restaurant and bar concept known for its convivial atmosphere and creative culinary offerings, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its newest location in The Woodlands on August 21, 2025, bringing its unique blend of warmth, passion, and care to the vibrant Houston suburb.
Located at Market Street (9595 Six Pines Dr Ste 200, The Woodlands, TX 77380), LOCAL Public Eatery promises to be the ultimate entertainment destination for The Woodlands community. With an impressive 5,140 square feet of interior space and a sprawling 2,020 square foot wrap-around patio, the restaurant offers an abundance of opportunities for game day gatherings, escape-from-the-office happy hours, weekend brunch and so much more.
The restaurant opening brings hundreds of job opportunities to the greater Woodlands and Houston community, with immediately available positions for back of house (chef, line and prep cooks, dishwashers) and front of house (manager, bartenders, servers, hosts, service support) and more. Jobs include perks like medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a medical reimbursement plan, and an Employee Assistance Program for benefit-eligible employees, as well as a fast-tracked career ladder advancement through the LOCAL Public Eatery Accelerated Leadership Program for those with skills to offer from previous experiences. They are hosting a hiring fair on July 26th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Woodlands Mall (1201 Lake Woodlands Dr #700, The Woodlands, TX 77380) at stall 6520 near Kokee Tea and the Food Court on the 2nd level. Chef Lewis and his team are crafting an extensive menu of from-scratch Americana favorites, including burgers, handhelds, pizzas, shareable starters, and delectable main courses. The bar will feature classic and craft cocktails, local favorite draft beers, and wines, as well as unique offerings larger gatherings like drink towers and a “group activities” section.
The interior boasts a rustic charm with reclaimed Texas pine wall cladding, Douglas Fir ceiling joists, vintage lighting and cozy area rugs. The patio sits under state-of-the-art retractable roof with string lighting and gas torches for ambiance and fans and heaters for year-round comfort. Both spaces feature multiple TVs for sports and entertainment.

LOCAL Public Eatery will be open Monday through Friday from 11AM to late, and Saturday and Sunday from 10AM to late. The restaurant will offer afternoon and late night happy hours and weekend brunch service. Takeout and delivery will be available daily on the restaurant’s website and via DoorDash and Uber Eats. Reservations will go live on OpenTable on July 31, 2025.
