Honor, support, and celebrate our Veterans at these local events.

November 9, 2022 – Veterans Day Celebration – Join Lone Star College – Tomball to honor and celebrate our student and community Veterans, present and past, who have selflessly served to protect our nation and those abroad. The event takes place in the LSC-Tomball Commons Area from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. Lunch for Veterans and SFJROTC will be served at 11:30 a.m. in Room N103. Learn More

November 11, 2022 – The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute – The tribute will feature a presentation of colors, keynote speaker, musical performances, and more. A special military Care Package Drop-Off Booth will be set up to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops. The ceremony will be held at Town Green Park from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Learn More

November 11, 2022 – Salute To Our Veterans – Join Conroe ISD at 10:00 a.m. for the annual Salute To Our Veterans program at Woodforest Bank Stadium. This event is hosted by the District’s five JROTC units. Veterans in attendance will received a Conroe ISD JROTC challenge coin as a small token of appreciation for their service. This event will also be livestreamed on the district’s YouTube page at www.YouTube.com/ConroeISD. Learn More

November 11, 2022 – Veterans Day Observances – Join the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission for a patriotic celebration with the Conroe Symphony Orchestra. The celebration includes Veterans Day Observances, Dedication of The Line, and Swearing in of New Recruits. The featured speaker is General (Ret.) USAF, Mark A. Welsh. The event is from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park, 1776 Freedom Blvd., Conroe TX 77301. Learn More

November 11, 2022 – Veterans Day Program – The Magnolia Historical Society honors all those who have served their country each year at the Veterans Day Program. In addition to the program, the society gratefully provides a steak lunch with trimmings for all Veterans and their spouses. This meal is provided at no cost to the Veterans, as a small token of appreciation for their service to our country. November 11, 2022 – Veterans Day Breakfast – VFW Post 4709 Auxiliary is hosting a Veterans Day Breakfast, open to all Veterans and their families, from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. at VFW Post 4709, 1303 W Semands Ave, Conroe, TX 77301. Learn More

November 11, 2022 – Veterans Day Waterway Walk & Cup of Joe – Join a walk to honor the service of our Veterans, beginning at 6:00 a.m. at Blue Door Coffee, on The Waterway, following a course that is just under 3 miles. Learn More

November 12, 2022 – Veterans Build – Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build is an opportunity for Veterans in our community to volunteer on a build day and raise awareness for the Veterans Build initiative. Learn More

November 12 & 13, 2022 – “SALUTE” Art Show – Join Bella Bottega for an art show celebrating local Veterans. This show highlights 2D and 3D works from local Veterans and local artists that support them! Plus, browse works from over 30 local artists, just in time for the upcoming holidays. A percentage of the gallery’s proceeds will benefit our local VFW posts. Learn More

November 13, 2022 – Veterans Day Weekend Celebration – Come meet the horses, watch the Texans play, enjoy kid-friendly activities and support our heroes at Henry’s Home, Horse and Human Sanctuary from noon to 4:00 pm. Henry’s Home is a 501c3 organization that takes in rescued and donated horses (along with other farm animals) and gives them a forever home and meaningful work in their Horses & Heroes Equine Program. The program offers therapy to local Veterans and first responders and their families, always at no cost to them. All ticket sales and donations go to keeping the sanctuary operating, the animals healthy, and the veteran and first responder programs running. Learn More
