M-COPE presents ‘Unintended Consequences’ to TWCA Families and Students to bring awareness
The Woodlands Christian Academy was honored to host two impactful speaker events presented by M-COPE (Montgomery County Overdose Prevention Endeavor). The program, titled Unintended Consequences, brought together experts to shed light on the realities of substance use and its far-reaching effects.
On Monday, April 20, Donna Hansen and Laura Hill from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office partnered with TWCA counseling office to host a parent session about their organization’s mission and share their insights in a session for TWCA parents.
On Tuesday, April 21, the student-focused presentation by Laura Hill and chemist Jordan Witkop drew intense focus from our 7th – 12th graders with powerful personal stories and critical information that fostered awareness and education.
Additionally, the Texas Memorial Walkway, a moving tribute to those lost to substance use, was displayed on campus, offering a space for reflection and remembrance.
M-COPE’s mission to raise awareness, educate, and prevent overdoses resonated deeply with our community.
