Market Street Announces 2023 Change for Charity Recipients

By  |

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Four Montgomery County charities will benefit from the thousands of dollars in change inserted in Market Street’s premium parking meters throughout the year as the shopping, dining and entertainment destination announces the beneficiaries of the 2023 Change for Charity program: Montgomery County Community Foundation Veterans Fund, Education for Tomorrow Alliance, Montgomery County Food Bank, and the Cook Family Health Education and Learning (HEAL) Center at Methodist Hospital in The Woodlands. Since its inception, the program has raised more than $250,000 for the local community.

The Woodlands Car Club also generously raises money for the Change for Charity recipients throughout the year at their events, held the first Sunday of each month. Their contributions, coupled with the amount donated to Market Street’s 68 parking meters make up the total amount given to a selected charity each quarter.

“Change for Charity has benefitted 40 of nonprofits throughout the years, but we couldn’t do it without the support of our guests at Market Street,” says Noemi Gonzalez, marketing director at Market Street.  “We are honored to continue to create a positive change in our local community.”

The program’s first-quarter beneficiary, Montgomery County Community Foundation Veterans Fund, unites donors’ passions with the future by creating legacies that improve the quality of life of Montgomery County residents through post high school scholarships and support of non-profits serving Montgomery County.

With innovative programs focused on career, leadership, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) preparation, EfTA is the portal through which business leaders can access and strengthen local education.

Montgomery County Food Bank, the program’s third-quarter recipient, has a mission to unite the community to fight hunger. The organization has a vision of a community where everyone has access to sufficient, nutritious food. Montgomery County Food Bank programs include school distribution programs, nutritional education, senior distributions, mobile markets, and more.

Market Street’s Change for Charity fourth-quarter beneficiary, Cook Family Health Education and Learning (HEAL) Center at Methodist Hospital The Woodlands, HEAL will house navigation, education, and expert resources that support healing and enhance wellbeing. Debuting in 2023, the Cook Family HEAL program will provide on-site resources for patients and their families. Market Street is proud to support this newly formed resource and is honored to be a longstanding partner of Houston Methodist The Woodlands.
