Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Celebrates National Trauma Survivors Day
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Last week, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center hosted a series of events in honor of National Trauma Survivors Day, including an honor walk called the Race to Rebuild. More than 60 hospital staff walked in support of trauma survivors and the incredible challenges they face in their recovery. The Race to Rebuild is a national event coordinated by the Trauma Survivors Network, an extension of the American Trauma Society.
The hospital also held an on-site information fair where visitors learned more about the hospital’s Trauma Program as well as efforts being taken out in the community to prevent injuries among children and adults.
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Trauma Center Representatives are available to provide free trauma prevention education to The Woodlands and surrounding communities, including Stop the Bleed, a course for the public on how to control bleeding after a traumatic injury.
