Methodist Retirement Communities Announces Hiring, Promotion of New CFO, COO
Methodist Retirement Communities Names Lee Trumble as Chief Financial Officer
Methodist Retirement Communities, a faith-based nonprofit senior living organization dedicated to serving older adults across Texas, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Trumble, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
“We are excited to welcome Lee to the MRC team, we are confident his experience and expertise is a good match for the future of the organization,” said CEO, Alan Brown.
Trumble brings more than 25 years of executive leadership and financial management experience to MRC. Most recently serving as CFO of LSU Health Foundation in New Orleans. His leadership included restructuring accounting functions to improve accuracy and efficiency, strengthening board and stakeholder trust, and establishing long-term financial sustainability. Prior to LSU Health Foundation, Trumble served as CFO for Christwood and Christwood Foundation, Silocaf USA, LLC and Pacorini USA, LLC.
A Certified Public Accountant licensed in Louisiana, Trumble earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Loyola University New Orleans. Known for his servant-leadership style, he describes himself as a “player-coach” who empowers his team while fostering collaboration, transparency, and high performance.

Founded in 1962, MRC has grown to become one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit senior living organizations in Texas, operating 13 communities across the state. Guided by its mission of honoring older adults, MRC provides a full continuum of services including independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation.
Methodist Retirement Communities Names Matthew Currie as Chief Operating Officer
Methodist Retirement Communities, a leading faith-based nonprofit senior living organization serving older adults across Texas, is proud to announce the promotion of Matthew Currie to Chief Operating Officer (COO).
A native Texan from Franklin, Matthew is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1992. He went on to serve our country as a field artillery officer in the U.S. Army before beginning a distinguished career in senior living.
Matthew discovered his passion for serving seniors in 2000, when he joined MRC Crestview as a part-time employee. His leadership quickly stood out, and in 2007 he was named Executive Director. In 2018, he accepted the role of Regional Vice President, where he has overseen operations at MRC Affordable Housing, MRC Crestview, MRC Mirador, and MRC The Langford. Throughout his tenure, Matthew has been known for his motto: “It’s all about customer service.”
“I’m excited for the next challenge and the next step in my career,” Currie said. “To continue to be part of this organization and to be able to make a positive impact on our mission is incredibly rewarding.”
Matthew holds multiple professional credentials, including Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA), Certified Assisted Living Facility Manager, Home Health Administrator, and Certified Aging Services Professional (CASP). His deep operational expertise, combined with a strong servant-leadership approach, has made him a trusted leader among staff and residents alike.
