Montgomery County Food Bank to host 14th Annual Shootout Hunger Sporting Clays Tournament
Montgomery County Food Bank will host its 14th annual Shootout Hunger Sporting Clays Tournament, presented by Cowboy Kia, on September 18, 2026, at Blackwood Sporting Co. in Conroe. The tournament welcomes shooters of all experience levels to gather a team for a fun-filled morning of sporting clays across 72 targets, all in support of the Food Bank’s mission of uniting the community to fight hunger.

Registration is open now, and teams are already claiming spots on the course. More than 180 shooters participated in 2025, providing hundreds of thousands of meals to the Food Bank’s 90+ partner agencies that serve neighbors in every corner of Montgomery County.
Cowboy Kia returns as presenting sponsor, with course sponsors Enterprise Mobility, H-E-B, and Expand Energy rounding out a group of partners whose generous support helps Montgomery County Food Bank meet the growing need for food assistance across the county.
“Hunger is a problem this community solves together, and Shootout Hunger is one of the best days we spend doing it,” said Scott Burns, President & CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank. “Every team that shows up is one more reason our neighbors will have food on the table this year.”

Registration and breakfast open at 7:30 a.m., followed by welcoming remarks and a safety briefing at 8:45 a.m., the first shots at 9:00 a.m., and an awards celebration and barbecue lunch to close out the day. Along the way, attendees can bid on silent auction items and take advantage of complimentary gun cleaning, and County Precinct 1 Commissioner Robert Walker’s team will once again prepare the barbecue lunch for all participants.
Registration and sponsorship opportunities for the 2026 Shootout Hunger Sporting Clays Tournament are open now at mcfoodbank.org/shootout. Montgomery County Food Bank encourages individuals, teams, and businesses to sign up early and join the community in the fight against hunger.
