Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office holds Fall 2023 Promotion and Awards Ceremony

On October 31, 2023, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office held its Promotion and Awards Ceremony at the Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe.

Sheriff Rand Henderson presented the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office promotions and awards ceremony that acknowledged those who have shown exceptional and outstanding merits that exemplify Sheriff Henderson’s goals for the agency.

Before the awards ceremony, Sheriff Rand Henderson presented a check to local charity Faith Fighting Cancer as a result of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office employee’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

The vision for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s vision is to serve as a role model for the public safety services in our state. Their mission is to provide professional detention and law enforcement service to our community through meaningful partnerships to enhance the quality of life for citizens, businesses, and visitors through efficient and innovative public safety practices. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s values represent their “P.A.C.T.” (Professional, Accountable, Compassionate, and Trusted) with the community and it is the core of the unspoken and implicit agreement between citizens and peace officers.

With each individual thoroughly reviewed and carefully chosen, Sheriff Rand Henderson assigned those recognized to safeguard the community’s trust through these standards.

Promotions were given in the Administration Division, Executive Division, Administrative Services Division, Criminal Investigations Division, Homeland Security Division, Jail Division, Patrol East Division, The Woodlands Township Division, and Patrol West Division. Awards were presented for the Professional Award, Accountable Award, Compassionate Award, Lifesaving Award, Unit Citation, PACT Award of Excellence, and Combat Cross.

At the end of the ceremony, the Montgomery County Sheriff Citizens Academy Alumni Association (MCSCAAA) shared a presentation about the organization that has a purpose “to bring together the graduates of the Montgomery County Sheriff Citizens Academy, to enhance relations between the community and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office through continuing education, and to provide other assistance to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office whenever possible.” MCSCAAA members were present to volunteer at the ceremony and presented an honorary check to Sheriff Rand Henderson representing volunteer hours.
