Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigates shooting on Goldeneye Place in Magnolia

On September 7, 2023, at 11:31 a.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were called to the 40000 block of Goldeneye Place in Magnolia Texas, referenced to an assault with firearm call. The caller reported a neighbor that he knew to have mental health issues approached him in his front yard. This resulted in an altercation where the homeowner shot the neighbor, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the shooting at this time. 

This is an isolated incident, both parties knew each other, and there is no threat to the public. This remains an active investigation, and no further information is available at this time. 

Residents in the 40000 block of Goldeneye Place in the Audubon subdivision will not be able to access their residence for a couple of hours, due to this ongoing investigation. Parents with children who ride the school bus who live in the 40000 block of Goldeneye Place in the Audubon subdivision, will need to meet the school bus at Bay Warbler Way in North Herron Heights.
