New Businesses Open Doors in Woodforest’s Pine Market

By  |

The Pine Market retail center in Woodforest is expanding, with three new businesses recently celebrating grand openings.

Balanced Foods, BODYBAR Pilates and Be May Salon opened their doors earlier this year, joining the more than 30 shops and restaurants making up the 40-acre mixed-use development.

“Pine Market has become the destination for shopping, dining and entertainment in Montgomery County,” said Stephen Barrera, Vice President and General Manager of Woodforest. “These new businesses add to the diversity of Pine Market’s offerings, and we are excited to welcome them.”

BODYBAR Pilates opened in January at 900 New Day Avenue. The franchise is owned and operated by mother-and-daughter duo Jennifer Rubino and Natalie Luquette. The 2,500-square foot studio features 14 reformers, a lobby and retail shop. Classes range from beginner to advanced and are offered seven days a week.

Balanced Foods creates and offers a wide variety of healthy pre-portioned, individually packaged and ready-to-eat meals made with fresh produce, premium proteins and low-glycemic carbohydrates. The store, at 820 Pine Market Avenue, also opened in January. Co-owners Savannah Collier and Jesse Collier said they are excited to be part of the Woodforest community.

“We were attracted to the area since it is close to home for us,” Savannah Collier said. “We live in Magnolia and Woodforest itself is such a beautiful and tight-knit community that is continuing to grow.”

Be May & CO Nail Salon Park opened last month at 870 New Day Avenue. The facility includes a 4,000-square foot nail salon with a private VIP room for group parties and special events and a 3,500-square-foot salon park where independent service providers can rent VIP suites to provide other beauty and health services.

“Our goal is become a one-stop shop for all beauty service needs to the local community in the Woodforest area,” said owner Larry Pham.

More businesses are slated to open in Pine Market later this year, including Tenzen, an upscale sushi restaurant featuring fish sourced from countries such as Scotland and Japan, as well as Kafe Boba Tea and Saigon Oldie Pho.

Pine Market is located at 791 Fish Creek Thoroughfare in Montgomery. In addition to numerous shops, restaurants and service providers, the retail district hosts numerous events at the Park at Pine Market, including concerts, holiday festivals and exercise classes.
