Pet of the Month: Layla

By  |

Hello Woodlands, in partnership with Operation Pets Alive (OPA), highlights a “Pet of the Month” that features a local dog or cat available for foster and/or adoption in Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter our shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave our shelters alive.

For our Pet of the Month, we are excited to introduce you to Layla!

Layla’s Story

Sweet and cuddly Layla is looking for her forever home! This playful girl found herself at the Montgomery County shelter at just 2 months old with her brother. Thankfully, a foster was soon found for them so they didn’t have to stay too long in the shelter.

She is the full package, and full of personality. She is great with kids and other dogs; this girl is social! If you want a companion to play with and make you feel like you are the greatest person in the world, Layla is your gal. When she smiles at you, you can’t help but smile back.

She is potty trained and crate trained. She knows all of her basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. Layla is very smart and learns quickly, especially if you have a tasty treat handy! She likes a good car ride too! She has also visited and been approved by several doggy daycares in the area.

Layla is about 40 pounds and will be celebrating her 1st birthday at the end of March. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Layla, submit an application on Operation Pets Alive’s website (no obligation to adopt) with her name and ID D230393: www.operationpetsalive.org/programs/adopt
